Karel Kunc

The Czech republic

Karel Kunc and his experimental work defies unambiguous classification. He works as a lecturer of ceramics and painting and is often forced to his own artistic activity by a momentary tremor of struggle with the feeling of inner emptiness, a desire for the enjoyment of painting or sculptural work and an experience of something archetypally magical, shamanic. Logically, inspiration often comes to him during a stay in nature, during his walks or playing with children. He likes to experiment with new materials and transcend the boundaries of traditional artistic disciplines.
